Our delivery centers in Bangalore have been assessed at Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration - Software (CMMI-SW) Ver 1.1 Maturity Level 5 (the highest, Optimizing Level of Maturity). The SCAMPI Assessment was conducted by KPMG in February/March 2006 and was led by Mr. K K Raman, Certified SEI CMMI Lead assessor.

The CMMI-SW is a five-step evolutionary framework for measuring and improving software development efforts. Achieving Maturity Level 5 reflects Aztecsoft's ability to consistently apply quantitative project and process management techniques to its software development services. This also show Aztecsoft's capability to take project management decisions through the quantitative data gathered and to apply it to continuously improve the software development and project management processes across its offshore product engineering services portfolio.

Aztecsoft is amongst the top 20 IT companies in the India to have been conferred the prestigious International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001:2005 certification for information security.

Together with the SEI-CMMi Level 5 assessment it earned in March 2006, it is now the first Outsourced Product Development organization in the world to have earned these two highest credentials for the quality of information security processes and improving software development efforts respectively.

The ISO 27001 standard promotes internationally recognized principles governing security and network systems. It defines an Information Security Management System (ISMS) and complements the ISO 17799 'code of practice' standard.

ISO 27001 is a standard setting out the requirements for an information security management system (ISMS), including rules for defining, establishing, implementing, operating, reviewing, monitoring, maintaining, and improving a documented Information Security Management System within the context of an organization's overall business risks. The standard is designed to ensure the selection of adequate and proportionate security controls that protect information assets and give confidence to interested parties including an organization's customers.
